An angel whispers softly, sweet child you need not fear
I will wrap my wings around you whenever you get scared
Dry your eyes my little one, you need not cry another tear
For when you call upon me, I will always be right here

I am yours for when you need me, I will shelter you from harm
I am sunlight when it's raining, I will keep you from the storm
I will heal you when you're bleeding, as I hold you in my arms
I am the song you've been singing, the melody in your heart

So close your eyes, you can sleep now, I will see you in your dreams
I'll be the one who's watching over you, as you rest your head to sleep
I am the answer that you've prayed for, I am everything you'll ever need
For I am your guardian angel, and only for you would I give up my wings

United Everyone living their own separate lives
So disconnected from the passerby's
Each person with their own set of hardships
Just trying to make it through without any slips

Tragedy strikes and we all become one
All of our differences becoming undone
Unified under this one common goal
The broken pieces for once seem whole

And in that moment all that kept us divided
Can't get in the way of a people united
All race, religion, and sexual orientation
No longer the cause of all our separation

Our fight is the same, it's not yours or mine alone
So we stand together, we can't do it on our own

Hollow Promises He tells her everything she wants to hear
The perfect words, but they aren't sincere
Hollow promises are his area of expertise
Effortlessly flowing from his lips with ease

He speaks to her as if she's his only one
He promises her everything under the sun
Talks of tomorrow and what it might hold
But tomorrow won't come if truth be told

By the time she awakes and catches on
She'll blame herself and he'll be gone
She'll harbor the guilt for being so naive
In hindsight she'll wonder how she didn't see

He'll move onto the next unsuspecting girl
Spew out his lines and offer her the world

Is It Possible.. Is it possible to love someone
More than those who came before
With each passing person
Can you love them even more

If you're truly in love
And you love with all your heart
Then what is there to give more of
To the next person with whom you take part

How can you love greater
If you've honestly given everyone your all
Is it not the same now as it will be later
Is there really more than one way you can fall

For me the answer is no
I can't love one more than I did the last
The amount of love I have doesn't just grow

Underneath It All If you could get past the wall that she's structured
And see all of the things she tries hard to keep covered
You would see it's the result of all that she's suffered
A shield she puts up to cover the pain she has harbored

She feels safe inside this enclosure she's made
It's built thick, but if you look close it is frayed
Worn along the edges, with time it has decayed
As the years go by a little more of her is displayed

She's not sure if she's healing or maybe she's just too weak
But it gets harder for her to maintain the front that she keeps
To those who don't know her, what they see is mystique
She wonders if they'd be disappointUnderneath It All by ~xStephMariex

YOUR SUPERMAN I am Superman and you are my Kryptonite,
When I am around you I have no will to fight.
I am weak as your power takes a hold of me,
I can't be your hero, I cant see anything clearly.
When you're gone I have the strength to miss you,
I have the spirit to love you and the will to kiss you.
But then I'm with you and my powers fall apart,
I lose myself in you and I can't control my heart.
I'm clumsy and thoughtless, not like Superman,
I'm slow and broken, just like any other man.
I could live a hundred lifetimes if you weren't near.
But I don't want to live even one without you there.
